Welcome to the Disneyland Autopia Mark VII Owners’ Group Page!

This page (and group) was made for those of us crazy enough to want to own our own Disneyland Autopia car, whether drivable or not. It takes a special kind of insane to want to go through what we did to live out our dreams. And we know there are more of us out there. Disneyland made approximately 128 of the cars for Disneyland park. In 1998, the bodies were sold through auction and scattered around the globe. In 1999 I found my car listed on EBAY. I promptly bought it, then set out to the valley in my pickup truck to get it. It was a sight to see, me driving back to the West side with the body hanging off my truck.

I spend the next 6 years researching and getting ready to re-make my car so it was drivable. It was a long process, but at the end it worked and I ended up with a 20 mph, drivable Autopia car. I drove it in parades, I would take my kids for rides around the neighborhood, you name it. Anything to take it out for a spin and re-live my childhood. These days my kids are in college and don’t want to be seen with their geeky dad, so I take rides by myself and cruise the neighborhood. If you live near LAX, you may have seen me driving by on a weekend afternoon.

Recently I fabricated the badges that went on the cars. One of the people that bought it contacted me to tell me how impressed they were with the accuracy. I asked them if they also had an Autopia car. He replied he had TWO! Mark became the first member and Vice President of the club immediately, and we are setting out to expand the group.
